Serving as YCCM's introductory foundational choir for students in 4th-6th grades, Choristers focuses on learning healthy vocal technique, growing in all areas of musicianship, and building community through rehearsing and performing. The Choristers are directed by Ms. Stephanie Otremba.
YCCM's Cantabile Singers represent sopranos and altos in grades 6th-8th. Embracing a wide variety of repertoire, they continue to develop their singing and leadership skills within the choral setting. The Cantabile Singers welcomes all singers into an enriching and uplifting atomosphere. The Cantabile Singers are directed by Ms. Kara Rysavy.
Con Brio is YCCM's soprano-alto choir within its foundational high school program. Bringing together area singers from grades 9-11, Con Brio rehearses and performs rigorous choral repertoire within a collaborative environment where singes find space to grow andare empower to lead. Con Brio is directed by Mrs. Holly Lathe.
YCCM's foundational mixed voice ensembe, Cantanti, hosts Central MInnesota high school singers in grades 9-12. With a full spectrum of sound, YCCM's SATB choir embraces the challenge of performing choral repertroire reflective of their depth of sound and musicianship, and singers strive to bring the choral communities they represent their absolute best. Cantanti is directed by Mr. Garrett Lathe.
The Chamber Singers is YCCM's most elite ensemble, comprised of mixed voices within Con Brio and Cantanti. The Chamber Singes is YCCM's smallest ensemble - with 16-20 singers each season - and brings singers into a musician-driven rehearsal and performance space where intricate and nuanced techniques are developed. Self-directed in performance, the Chamber Singers is lead by Mr. Garrett Lathe.
